TLDR
In this article, it is shown that many particular choices among possible neurophysiological assumptions are equivalent, in the sense that for every net behaving under one assumption, there exists another net which behaves under another and gives the same results, although perhaps not in the same time.

Behavioral Stochastic Resonance: How the Noise from a Daphnia Swarm Enhances Individual Prey Capture by Juvenile Paddlefish

TL;DR: It is hypothesized that juvenile paddlefish can detect and attack single Daphnia as outliers in the vicinity of the swarm by using noise from the swarm itself, and calculates the signal-to-noise ratio, Fisher information and discriminability at the surface of the paddlefish's rostrum.

Analysis of Social Aspects of Migrant Labourers Living With HIV/AIDS Using Fuzzy Theory and Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps: With Special Reference to Rural Tamil Nadu in India

TL;DR: In this article, Neutrosophic Cognitive Maps are used in the study of migrant labourers who have become HIV/AIDS victims in rural areas of Tamil Nadu and the role played by the government in helping these migrants with HIV and factors of migration and their vulnerability in catching HIV.

A parallel algorithm for broadcast scheduling problems in packet radio networks

TL;DR: A parallel algorithm based on an artificial neural network model for broadcast scheduling problems in packet radio networks is presented that requires n*m processing elements for an n-mode-m-slot radio network problem.

Deep Neural Network Through an InP SOA-Based Photonic Integrated Cross-Connect

TL;DR: A comprehensive analysis of the error evolution in the system reveals that the electrical/optical conversions dominate the error contribution, which suggests that an all optical approach is preferable for future neuromorphic computing hardware design.

The measurement of technical efficiency: a neural network approach

TL;DR: In this article, an introduction to artificial neural networks (ANNs) and a comparison of efficiency techniques in a non-linear production function is carried out, and the results suggest that ANNs are a promising alternative to traditional approaches, econometric models and non-parametric methods such as data envelopment analysis, to fit production functions and measure efficiency under nonlinear contexts.

The Logical Syntax of Language

Rudolf Carnap
TL;DR: Carnap's entire theory of language structure appeared in The Logical Syntax of Language (1934) as mentioned in this paper, which led to his famous "Principle of tolerance" by which everyone is free to mix and match the rules of his logic in any way he wishes.
