TLDR
In this article, it is shown that many particular choices among possible neurophysiological assumptions are equivalent, in the sense that for every net behaving under one assumption, there exists another net which behaves under another and gives the same results, although perhaps not in the same time.

Neural networks

TL;DR: The development and evolution of different topics related to neural networks is described showing that the field has acquired maturity and consolidation, proven by its competitiveness in solving real-world problems.

Land use changes modelling using advanced methods: Cellular automata and artificial neural networks. The spatial and explicit representation of land cover dynamics at the cross-border region scale

TL;DR: Using advanced methods, such as Cellular Automata (CA) and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), the results highlight that these tools are adequate in formalising knowledge regarding land use systems in cross-border regions.

The biogenic approach to cognition.

TL;DR: The paper describes the frameworks and infers from them ten empirical principles—the biogenic ‘family traits’—that constitute constraints on biogenic theorizing that are superior for approaching a general theory of cognition as a natural phenomenon.

On the Origin of Deep Learning

TL;DR: This paper primarily focuses on the precedents of the models above, examining how the initial ideas are assembled to construct the early models and how these preliminary models are developed into their current forms.

The Logical Syntax of Language

Rudolf Carnap
TL;DR: Carnap's entire theory of language structure appeared in The Logical Syntax of Language (1934) as mentioned in this paper, which led to his famous "Principle of tolerance" by which everyone is free to mix and match the rules of his logic in any way he wishes.
