TLDR
In this article, an extension of robustness analysis to incorporate reactive response of other decision makers to the action of the initial decision maker is presented, which has not previously been considered.
Abstract
Robustness analysis has not previously incorporated explicitly the reactive response of other decision makers to the action of the initial decision maker. This note presents an extension of robustness analysis to incorporate this response of the decisional environment.

A Taxonomy of Sequential Decision Support Systems

TL;DR: It is argued that the next millennium DSS must focus on the 'D' of DSS because of the complexities of the decisions they are trying to support and these DSSs, called SDSSs, are examined in the context of data-dialog-model-communication.

Robustness of equilibria in the graph model for conflict resolution

TL;DR: A novel approach for assessing the robustness of an equilibrium in conflict resolution is presented, based on a new concept called Level of Freedom, which evaluates the relative freedom of a decision maker to escape an equilibrium.

A case for a research based methodology in OR problem solving

TL;DR: It is contended that even in such adverse circumstances good, stable solutions can often be found by researching the structure of the problem to be solved, using such data as are available.

Robustness as a corporate objective under uncertainty

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examine the nature of the objective function of a firm when operating under conditions of uncertainty and present robustness as a purposeful maxim and for decision making both under certainty and uncertainty -a robust decision being one in which the decision maker retains the maximum flexibility with regard to future decisions after an initial decision has been made.

Robustness and Optimality as Criteria for Strategic Decisions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the nature of the problem situations for which alternative decision criteria are more appropriate than optimality as an operational research criterion and develop a measure of the flexibility which an initial decision of a plan maintains for achieving near-optimal states in conditions of uncertainty.

Planning under Uncertainty: II. A Methodology for Robustness Analysis

TL;DR: An integrated methodology incorporating features which a methodology for flexible planning should exhibit is proposed, based on robustness analysis, and it is non-optimising, being based on the establishment of feasible alternative plans and accepts future uncertainty as a defining characteristic.
