TLDR
An extension of Furnas's method is described in this paper, where the variation of intensity of an axial reflection as the crystal is rotated about the goniometer axis is used to give a curve of relative transmission T against azimuthal angle ϕ for the corresponding reciprocal lattice level.
Abstract
An extension of Furnas's method is described. The variation of intensity of an axial reflection as the crystal is rotated about the goniometer axis is used to give a curve of relative transmission T against azimuthal angle ϕ for the corresponding reciprocal lattice level. Transmission coefficients for any general reflexion hkl are then given approximately by T(hkl) = [T(ϕinc) + T(ϕret)]/2 where ϕinc and ϕret are the azimuthal angles of the incident and reflected beams. Equations are derived for (ϕinc and ϕret and the accuracy of the method is discussed.

Synthesis, Structures and Luminescent Properties of σ-Alkynyl Complexes of Orthomercuriated Schiff Bases

TL;DR: In this article, a series of σ-alkynyl complexes of orthomercuriated Schiff bases of substituted benzylideneanilines and anthracenylmethyleneaniliines were synthesised in good yields by alkynylation of the mercuric chlorides of the appropriate Schiff bases with terminal alkynes RC≡CH (R = Ph, ferrocenyl, p-ferrocensylphenyl) at room temperature in a basic medium.

Metal ion size selectivity of 1-Thia4, 7-diazacyclononane (9-aneN:S), and other tridentate macrocycles. A study by molecular mechanics calculation, structure determination, and formation constant determination of complexes of 9-aneN 2S

TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the coordination chemistry of the tridentate cyclononane type macrocycles using molecular mechanics calculations, crystallography and formation constant determinations, and concluded that small metal ions coordinate best to these ligands, such that metal ions with a covalent radius of 1.25 and 1.40 fit best into 9-aneN3 and 9-ANEN3, respectively.
