Abstract
This paper describes the chemical, thermal and thermomechanical characterization of curaua fiber. The research of the thermal and thermomechanical properties of natural fibers is of major interest, considering their increasing utilization in several applications, and the large temperature range to which the fibers are submitted.

Studies on lignocellulosic fibers of Brazil. Part II: Morphology and properties of Brazilian coconut fibers

TL;DR: In this article, the chemical, physical, thermal and mechanical properties of curaua fibers, one of the unique fibers of the country, were determined for the first time, where the tensile strength and Young's modulus (YM) decrease while % strain at break remained constant as fiber diameter increases.

Characterization of lignocellulosic curaua fibres.

TL;DR: In this paper, the same authors reported that the treated curaua fibres also showed an increase of surface roughness, but no other significant changes were observed after the treatments except for moisture content and mechanical properties.
