Journal ArticleDOI

Cytokinin metabolism in tomato plants. II. Metabolites of kinetin and benzyladenine in decapitated roots

TL;DR: Uptake of kinetin and benzyladenine by the roots was found to be limited but once within the root tissues metabolism was both rapid and extensive, suggesting side-chain cleavage of the original Kinetin which occurs rapidly is suggested as a possible route for the eventual production of these endogenous cytokinin forms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of kinetin on the membrane permeability ofAllium cepa epidermal cells

TL;DR: Une méthode plasmométrique employé pour étudier a perméabilité de la membrane d'Allium cepa a augmenté quand elle a été comparée à celles du contrôle.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of some growth regulating substances and carbohydrates on chlorophyll production in Melilotus alba (Desr.) callus tissue cultures

TL;DR: It is evident that in nongreen callus of Melilotus, chlorophyll production can be controlled by the adjustment of cytokinin levels in cultures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Retardation of induced senescence of leaves from crop plants by benzimidazole and cytokinins.

TL;DR: The overall effect of the chemicals in retarding the induced senescence of the leaves was benzyladenine>kinetin= benzimidazole>zeatin.
