Chitinases from Seeds of Zea mays and Coix lachryma-jobi L. Purification and Some Properties
TLDR
Preparations of exochitinase which were electrophoretically homogeneous have been prepared from seeds of Zea mays and Coix lachryma-jobi by extraction, ammonium sulphate fractionation and gel filtration, and the purified preparations did not exhibit lysozyme activity.About:

Transgenic tomato plants expressing a wheat endochitinase gene demonstrate enhanced resistance to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici
P. V. Girhepuje,G. B. Shinde +1 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrated that the expression of the wheat endochitinase chi194 in tomato plants confers resistance against Fusarium wilt disease caused by the fungal pathogen FUSarium oxysporum f.

Novel chitinolytic enzymes with biological activity against herbivorous insects
Roxanne M. Broadway,Carmenza E. Góngora,Wendy Kain,John P. Sanderson,Jose Monroy,K. C. Bennett,Jason B. Warner,Michael P. Hoffmann +7 more
TL;DR: Ingestion of this mixture of chitinolytic enzymes significantly reduced the growth and development of Trichoplusia ni and significantly reduced survival of Myzus persicae, Bemisia argentifolii, and Hypothenemus hampei.

A chitinase from Adenanthera pavonina L. seeds: purification, characterisation and immunolocalisation
TL;DR: The tissue and subcellular localisation of the enzyme indicated that isolated chitinase was mainly localised in the cytosolic compartments, and the presence of a similar protein to the isolate was detected in exudates from seeds, discharged during germination.

Dissecting root proteome of transgenic rice cultivars unravels metabolic alterations and accumulation of novel stress responsive proteins under drought stress.
TL;DR: The comparative proteome analysis between the roots of wild type and transgenic DREB1A overexpressing homozygous plants under drought stress condition is demonstrated and a novel protein, R40C1 was reported to be up-accumulated in roots of transgenic plants which may play an important role in generation of drought tolerant plants.

A rapid and sensitive method for the quantitation of microgram quantities of protein utilizing the principle of protein-dye binding
TL;DR: This assay is very reproducible and rapid with the dye binding process virtually complete in approximately 2 min with good color stability for 1 hr with little or no interference from cations such as sodium or potassium nor from carbohydrates such as sucrose.
