This document specifies the data export format for version 9 of Cisco Systems' NetFlow services, for use by implementations on the network elements and/or matching collector programs.Abstract:
This document specifies the data export format for version 9 of Cisco
Systems' NetFlow services, for use by implementations on the
network elements and/or matching collector programs. The version 9
export format uses templates to provide access to observations of IP
packet flows in a flexible and extensible manner. A template defines a
collection of fields, with corresponding descriptions of structure and
semantics. This memo provides information for the Internet community.read more

Anomaly Detection and Identification in Feature Based Systems: An Empirical Evaluation
TL;DR: Performance analysis and comparison of different techniques used for anomaly detection in packet switched backbone networks.
Flow Classification of Encrypted Traffic Streams using Multi-fractal Features
TL;DR: The increased usage of encrypted application layer traffic is making it harder for traditional traffic categorization methods like deep packet inspection to function, so new ways of categorizing traffic are needed.

Analysis of NetFlow Features’ Importance in Malicious Network Traffic Detection
Adrián Campazas-Vega,Ignacio Samuel Crespo-Martínez,Ángel Manuel Guerrero-Higueras,Claudia Álvarez-Aparicio,Vicente Matellán +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present the analysis carried out of the relevance that every NetFlow feature has in the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm in order to detect malicious traffic.
Effective Network Management via S ystem-Wide Coordination and Optimization
TL;DR: In this article, the authors argue for a clean-slate system-wide approach for resource management in large-scale networked systems based on three highlevel principles: systematic selection and placement of device-level primitives, lightweight coordination mechanisms that enable different network elements to effectively complement one another, and practical optimization models that capture operating constraints and policy objectives.
Load balancing regions mechanism in multiple spanning tree protocol
TL;DR: Two proposals of solving the problem of disproportion in the load of the main switches for individual regions are presented: one based on an external server and one dedicated directly to the switches.
