Journal ArticleDOI
Weak intramolecular interactions in ethylene glycol identified by vapor phase OH-stretching overtone spectroscopy.
TL;DR: Anharmonic oscillator local mode calculations of the OH-stretching transitions have provided an accurate simulation of the observed spectra and facilitate assignment of the different conformers in the spectra to illustrate the effect of the intramolecular hydrogen bonding.
Journal ArticleDOI
OH- and CH-Stretching Overtone Spectra of Catechol
Henrik G. Kjaergaard,Daryl L. Howard,Daniel P. Schofield,Timothy W. Robinson,Shun-ichi Ishiuchi,Masaaki Fujii +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the CH-, OH-, and OD-stretching fundamental and overtone spectra of catechol (1,2-dihydroxybenzene, pyrocatechol) and selectively deuterated Catechol were recorded using an anharmonic oscillator local mode model and ab initio determined dipole moment functions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intramolecular OH⋯π interactions in alkenols and alkynols
TL;DR: The effect of the carbon chain length and saturation on the conformation and spectroscopy of the four alcohols in relation to intramolecular hydrogen bonding interactions is ascertained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Absolute Intensities of NH-Stretching Transitions in Dimethylamine and Pyrrole
Benjamin J. Miller,Lin Du,Thomas J. Steel,Allanah J. Paul,A. Helena Södergren,Joseph R. Lane,Bryan R. Henry,Henrik G. Kjaergaard +7 more
TL;DR: An anharmonic oscillator local mode model with ab initio calculated local mode parameters and dipole moment functions at the CCSD(T)/aug-cc-pVTZ level is used to calculate the NH-stretching intensities and explain this intensity anomaly in DMA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Infrared and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy of Acetylacetone and Hexafluoroacetylacetone
Daryl L. Howard,Daryl L. Howard,Henrik G. Kjaergaard,Henrik G. Kjaergaard,Jing Huang,Jing Huang,Markus Meuwly,Markus Meuwly +7 more
TL;DR: It is found that the simulated spectrum in the region associated with the proton transfer mode is exquisitely sensitive to the height of the barrier for protonTransfer.
