TLDR
In this paper, the manufacturing, processing, joining, finishing, and application of dispersion-strengthened aluminum alloys fro aluminum powder are discussed, and the mechanical and physical properties, structure, and relationship between mechanical properties and structure are given.
Abstract
The manufacture, processing, joining, finishing, and application of dispersion-strengthened aluminum alloys fro aluminum powder are discussed. The mechanical and physical properties, structure, and the relationship between mechanical properties and structure are given for the alloys. (N.W.R.)

Effect of Deformation Temperature on the Mechanical Behavior and Deformation Mechanisms of Al-Al 2 O 3 Metal Matrix Composites

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of deformation temperature was investigated through hot tensile deformation conducted at different temperatures, and the microstructures of the tested specimens were also investigated to characterize the operative softening mechanisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Elevated temperature deformation behavior of nanostructured Al-Ni-Gd-Fe alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the deformation behavior of nanostructured Al89Ni3Gd7Fe1 alloy was characterized at high temperatures (623 −673 K). And the operative deformation mechanism is dislocation-climb controlled.

Crack-tip behaviors of stationary and growing cracks in Al-Fe-X alloys: Part I. Near-tip strain field

TL;DR: In this paper, the crack-tip strain fields of monotonically loaded stationary and growing cracks in Al-Fe-X alloys have been examined using the stereo-imaging technique and the experimental results confirm the dominance of the Hutchinson[10,11] and Rice and Rosengren[12] (HRR) field in a stationary crack and the logarithmic singularity in a nonstationary crack.

L12 (Al,Cr)3Ti-Based two-phase intermetallic compounds-I. Plastic deformation behavior

TL;DR: In this article, the plastic deformation behavior of two-phase intermetallic compounds consisting of mainly L 1 sub 2 phase and the second phases in Al-Ti-Cr system was investigated.

Coarsening phenomenon of Li2 precipitates in rapidly solidified Al-3at%(Ti,V,Zr) system

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors design the Al-Ti-V-Zr system and optimize the compositions of added transition elements to minimize the lattice misfit and thus an interfacial energy, and maximize the coarsening resistance and, at the same time, optimize the volume fraction of the precipitated stable D0{sub 23} Al{sub 3}M phase.
