Preparation and properties of UA1x coatings formed on uranium via the electrophoretic deposition of aluminium powder

TL;DR: In this article, a method for preparing UAl x coatings on uranium by electrophoretic deposition of aluminium powder followed by heating in vacuum was described, and the optimum conditions have been shown to be deposition of a fine aluminium powder onto a freshly electropolished uranium surface followed immediately by heattreatment for 20 h at 650° C.
