Dynamic load balancing for distributed memory multiprocessors
TLDR
This paper completely analyze the hypercube network by explicitly computing the eigenstructure of its node adjacency matrix and shows that a diffusion approach to load balancing on a hypercube multiprocessor is inferior to another approach which is called the dimension exchange method.About:

A Parallel Branch and Bound Algorithm for Solving Large Scale Integer Programming Problems
TL;DR: The hierarchical supervisor-master-sub- master-worker algorithm sustains good performance revealed from the knapsack problem solved as a benchmark example and shows that a consistently bettered efficiency can be achieved in solving integer equations, providing reduction of time.

A Uniform Framework for Dynamic Load Balancing Strategies in Distributed Processing Systems
Taieb Znati,Rami Melhem +1 more
TL;DR: A general model in which load balancing decisions are reached by enforcing performance metrics which may be adapted to reflect the specific requirements of different environments is presented.

Fast load balancing with the most to least loaded policy in dynamic networks
TL;DR: A new distributed algorithm that implements the Most to Least Loaded (M2LL) policy, which aims at indicating pairs of processors, that will exchange loads, taking into account actually broken edges as well as the current load distribution in the system.

Dispersion of mobile robots using global communication
TL;DR: In this article , the authors considered the global communication model where a robot can communicate with any other robot in the graph (but the graph is unknown to robots), and provided two deterministic algorithms for arbitrary graphs in a synchronous setting where all robots perform their actions in every time step.

Design and Performance of a Heterogeneous Grid Partitioner
TL;DR: A novel latency-tolerant partitioner that dynamically balances processor workloads while minimizing data movement and runtime communication for applications that are executed in a parallel distributed grid environment is presented.
