Dynamic load balancing for distributed memory multiprocessors

George Cybenko

- Vol. 7, Iss: 2, pp 279-301
TLDR
This paper completely analyze the hypercube network by explicitly computing the eigenstructure of its node adjacency matrix and shows that a diffusion approach to load balancing on a hypercube multiprocessor is inferior to another approach which is called the dimension exchange method.

Auswirkungen verschiedener Informationsebenen auf die Effizienz der dynamischen Lastbalancierung

Rainer Pollak
TL;DR: This work answers the question how efficient a dynamic load balancing system can use information from different sources as well as information of different characteristics in order to take full advantage of such parallel and distributed system.

The influence of graph structure on generalized dimension exchange

TL;DR: This paper examines the behavior of GDE over the family of binary Hamming graphs and a lower bound for the rate at which GDE converges to load balance is given.
Journal ArticleDOI

Distributed load balancing in the presence of node failure and network delays

TL;DR: A new dynamic, and adaptive distributed load balancing algorithm that is able to handle the loss of some computational nodes, the connectivity of the network, and the variations in tasks and transfer delays is presented.

Scope of Cloud Computing for Multimedia Application

TL;DR: Whether the concept of cloud computing can be implemented for processing and storing data related to multimedia application and if yes then what are the difficulties which could arise and how it can be used for multimedia application is analyzed.

Consensus State Gram Matrix Estimation for Stochastic Switching Networks from Spectral Distribution Moments

TL;DR: This paper focuses on deriving an estimate for the Gram matrix of error in the state vectors over a filtering window for large-scale, stationary, switching random networks and defines a quadratic objective function to minimize the expected consensus estimate error norm.
