Effect of N-acetylcysteine on attenuation of chlropyrifos and its methyl analogue toxicity in male rats.

TLDR
In this article, the attenuating effect of 150 mg/kg of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) against the oral administration of 7.88 and 202.07 mg/ kg/day for 14 days of either chlropyrifos-ethyl (CPE-E) or Chlroprinyl-methyl (CPF-M) in male rat was investigated using biochemical and genetic markers.

A spectrophotometric method for measuring the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide by catalase.

TL;DR: A quantitative, spectrophotometric technique for following the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide has been developed for routine studies of catalase kinetics and appears to give lower values forCatalase activity than do titration techniques.

Biological defense mechanisms. The production by leukocytes of superoxide, a potential bactericidal agent.

TL;DR: O(2) (-) is made by leukocytes under circumstances which suggest that it may be involved in bacterial killing, and is identified as the agent responsible for the leukocyte-mediated reduction of cytochrome c.
