TLDR
This is the first edge-preserving algorithm for color contrast enhancement in color space and it can enhance the color contrast as the previous algorithm does, but also has an edge- Preservation effect.

Image fusion using multiscale edge-preserving decomposition based on weighted least squares filter

TL;DR: The authors utilise the multiscale edge-preserving decomposition (MSEPD) based on the weighted least squares filter to fuse the source images and indicate that the proposed method can provide better fused images, meanwhile manifesting a good edge- Preserving performance.

Pink-color sign in esophageal squamous neoplasia, and speculation regarding the underlying mechanism

TL;DR: The findings suggest that pink- Color sign negative mucosa did not undergo color fading during the 2-3 min after iodine staining, and underwent color fading only after spraying of sodium thiosulfate, and that this sign may be caused by early fading of iodineStaining.

Seeded region growing

TL;DR: This correspondence presents a new algorithm for segmentation of intensity images which is robust, rapid, and free of tuning parameters, and suggests two ways in which it can be employed, namely, by using manual seed selection or by automated procedures.

The curvelet transform for image denoising

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe approximate digital implementations of two new mathematical transforms, namely, the ridgelet transform and the curvelet transform, which offer exact reconstruction, stability against perturbations, ease of implementation, and low computational complexity.

Similarity of color images

TL;DR: Two new color indexing techniques are described, one of which is a more robust version of the commonly used color histogram indexing and the other which is an example of a new approach tocolor indexing that contains only their dominant features.

Vector median filters

TL;DR: In this article, two nonlinear algorithms for processing vector-valued signals are introduced, called vector median operations, which are derived from two multidimensional probability density functions using the maximum-likelihood-estimate approach.
