Cosmic rays and particle physics.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a model for accelerating a particle to >100 TeV using cosmic rays and neutrino-induced muons, which they call cosmic ray showers.
Book

Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations for Scientists and Engineers

TL;DR: The Third edition of the Third Edition of as discussed by the authors is the most complete and complete version of this work. But it does not cover the first-order nonlinear Equations and their applications.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supernova remnants: the X-ray perspective

TL;DR: In particular, the advances made in X-ray imaging spectroscopy over the last two decades has greatly increased our knowledge about supernova remnants as mentioned in this paper, and it has made it possible to map the products of fresh nucleosynthesis, and resulted in the identification of regions near shock fronts that emit Xray synchrotron radiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Explicit solutions of Fisher's equation for a special wave speed

TL;DR: In this paper, the traveling waves for Fisher's equation are shown to be of a simple nature for the special wave speeds and a general solution for this wave speed is found and a method is presented that can be applied to the solution of other nonlinear equations of biological and physical interest.
Journal ArticleDOI

Supernova remnants: the X-ray perspective

TL;DR: In this article, all the relevant aspects of X-ray emission from supernova remnants are reviewed and put into the context of supernova explosion properties and the physics and evolution of Supernova remnants.
