Effective enhancement of piezocatalytic activity of BaTiO3 nanowires under ultrasonic vibration

TL;DR: In this paper, the BaTiO3 nanowires and nanoparticles were synthesized and their piezocatalytic activity was investigated and it was shown that the intrinsic charge carriers in piezoelectric crystallites play the role of charge transfer in the catalysis process through regulating the concentration of charge carriers.

Large Piezoelectric Effect in Pb-Free Ceramics

TL;DR: It is predicted that the single-crystal form of the MPB composition of the present system may reach a giant d(33) = 1500-2000 pC/N, which may provide a new recipe for designing highly piezoelectric materials (both Pb-free and P b-containing) by searching MPBs starting from a TCP.

On Maxwell's displacement current for energy and sensors: the origin of nanogenerators

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the fundamental theory of the nanogenerators starting from the Maxwell equations, which indicated that the second term ∂ P ∂ t in the Maxwell's displacement current is directly related to the output electric current of the Nanogenerator.
