TL;DR: In this paper , a superhydrophobic surface with ordered hierarchical microstructures was prepared on copper substrates by combining thermal transfer and etching, and the surface morphology, wettability, chemical composition and corrosion resistance were characterized via scanning electron microscopy, a three-dimensional confocal microscope, contact angle measurement, X-ray diffraction, Xray photoelectron spectroscopy, electrokinetic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic techniques.
