Finite element free flexural vibration analysis of arbitrary plates

TLDR
In this article, a new approach for the analysis of plates of arbitrary shapes is used which successfully models the arbitrary shape of the plate like isoparametric element, as the shear deformation is ignored by using Kirchhoff plate element.

A new stiffened plate element for the analysis of arbitrary plates

TL;DR: In this paper, a four-noded stiffened plate element is developed, which has the advantages and elegance of an isoparametric element in modelling arbitrary shaped plates, but without the disadvantage of shear-locking phenomena.
