TLDR
In this article, a non-contact optical method based on the fringe projection technique was proposed for 3D shape measurement of a hydroformed shell by a CCD camera and a Fourier transform is performed on the image using a microcomputer.

Fourier-transform method of fringe-pattern analysis for computer-based topography and interferometry

TL;DR: In this article, a fast Fourier transform method of topography and interferometry is proposed to discriminate between elevation and depression of the object or wave-front form, which has not been possible by the fringe-contour generation techniques.

An automatic evaluation method for the surface profile of a microlens array using an optical interferometric microscope

TL;DR: In this article, an automatic evaluation method for the surface profile of a microlens array using an optical interferometric microscope is presented, where an XY-table is used to position it.

3D surface profile measurement of unsymmetrical microstructure using Fizeau interferometric microscope

TL;DR: In this article, an automatic optical inspection system for the 3D surface profile of an unsymmetrical microstructure using Fizeau interferometer was proposed This non-contact inspection system is suitable for measuring the lens sag and 3D surfaces profile of symmetrical and un symmetrical microlenses, and fitting these discrete points as close curves through the Bezier curve theory.

Optical edge projection for surface contouring

TL;DR: In this article, a novel optical edge projection method is proposed for surface contouring of an object with low reflectivity, where a structured light edge is projected onto a dark surface, and the image is captured by a CCD camera.

Measurement of PCI connector tilts using phase-shift fringe projection

TL;DR: In this paper, the tilt angles of peripheral component interconnect (PCI) connectors on a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) were measured using the phase-shift fringe projection method.

Fourier transform profilometry for the automatic measurement of 3-D object shapes

Mitsuo Takeda, +1 more
- 15 Dec 1983 -
TL;DR: A new computer-based technique for automatic 3-D shape measurement is proposed and verified by experiments that has a much higher sensitivity than the conventional moire technique and is capable of fully automatic distinction between a depression and an elevation on the object surface.

Automated phase-measuring profilometry of 3-D diffuse objects

TL;DR: The high resolution surface profile of a 3-D diffuse object is obtained by measurement of the phase distribution across the image of a projected sinusoidal grating deformed by the surface, based on phase-shifting interferometric techniques.
