Abstract

Alternative Methods for the Preparation of Gold Nanoparticles Supported on TiO2

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated other methods of preparation of Au/TiO2 catalysts to obtain small gold metal particles (2−3 nm) and a higher Au loading.

Space charge regions in solid two-phase systems and their conduction contribution—I. Conductance enhancement in the system ionic conductor-'inert' phase and application on AgC1:Al2O3 and AgC1:SiO2

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors calculated the space charge contribution to the conductance for two-phase systems (bicrystal and dispersion) where the second phase is a "chemically inert" phase such as alumina and silica.

Degradation and stabilisation of polymers and coatings: nano versus pigmentary titania particles

TL;DR: A series of nano and micron particle size anatase and rutile titanium dioxide pigments have been prepared with various densities of surface treatments, particle size and surface area.

Degradation and stabilization of polyurethane elastomers

TL;DR: In this article, a comprehensive survey of the literature regarding various types of degradation of polyurethane elastomers, including photo-, thermal, ozonolytic, hydrolytic, chemical, enzymatic, in-vivo/in-vitro oxidative, biological, and mechanical degradation, is presented.

An infrared study of pyridine adsorbed on acidic solids. Characterization of surface acidity

E.P. Parry
- 01 Oct 1963 -
TL;DR: In this article, the infrared spectrum of pyridine coordinately bonded to the surface of acid solids has been determined and a rough estimate of the strength of surface Lewis sites can be inferred.

Structure and Adsorption Characteristics of Clean Surfaces of Germanium and Silicon

TL;DR: In this paper, the surface structures of clean (100) and (110) germanium surfaces were observed and the results indicated that these structures were not due to contamination but to the silicon itself.
