Tourism, landscapes and cultural ecosystem services: a new research tool

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a new tool for analysing the benefits of landscapes for visitors and tourists using the Cultural Ecosystems Services (CES) framework as defined by the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment (MEA) in 2005.

Visitors’ preferences of renewable energy options in “green” hotels

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assess visitors' preferences of environmentally friendly energy sources in hotels and find that the highest preferences were found for solar panels installed on the rooftops, while a typology of preferences was revealed by cluster analysis and differences between clusters were tested for independent variables.

Local acceptance of wind energy: Factors of success identified in French and German case studies

TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify and analyse factors that are important for winning acceptance of wind-energy parks on the local level, such as institutional conditions such as economic incentives and regulations; and site-specific conditions (territorial factors), such as the local economy, the local geography, local actors, and actual on-site planning process (project management).
