TLDR
In this paper, the authors focused on such exchange coupled polymetallic, both homo- and hetero-metallic systems containing the bridging core MNOM′ with an aim to delineate the exchange mechanism through bridging oximates, and confirmed the essentially σ nature of the exchange interaction transmitted through the diatomic NO-bridging ligand.

The coordination chemistry of pyridyl oximes

TL;DR: The coordination chemistry of pyridyl oximes is reviewed in this paper, with emphasis on structural features and physical properties (mainly magnetic properties) of the resulting metal complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural and magnetic studies on copper(II) azido complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of diverse structural and magnetic properties of copper(II) azido complexes is presented, and some of the trends identified could serve as a privileged starting point for the further development of this promising area.
Journal ArticleDOI

"Switching on" the properties of single-molecule magnetism in triangular manganese(III) complexes.

TL;DR: The combined work demonstrates the feasibility that structural distortions of a magnetic core imposed by peripheral ligands can "switch on" the properties of an SMM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ground state spin-switching via targeted structural distortion: twisted single-molecule magnets from derivatised salicylaldoximes.

TL;DR: The deliberate chemically-induced structural distortion of the [Mn6] molecule allows the isolation of analogous family members displaying remarkably different magnetic properties and this in turn allows for a rare semi-quantitative magneto-structural correlation which enables prediction of the magnetic properties of new family members.

Superexchange interaction and symmetry properties of electron orbitals

TL;DR: In this article, the sign of the superexchange interaction is closely connected with the symmetry of the electron orbitals and the cation orbital state when the cations are subject to the crystalline field arising from octahedral or tetrahedrally surrounding anions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electronic Structure of Bis(o-iminobenzosemiquinonato)metal Complexes (Cu, Ni, Pd). The Art of Establishing Physical Oxidation States in Transition-Metal Complexes Containing Radical Ligands

TL;DR: The ligand 2-anilino-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol and its 2-(3,5-dichloroanilino)-4,4-dimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane analogue react in CH(3)CN or CH( 3)OH solutions with divalent transition metal ions in the presence of air and triethylamine.

Bioinorganic Chemistry of Copper

TL;DR: The present work focuses on the characterization of copper-cysteinate proteins derived from yeast copper-zinc superoxide dismutase with a focus on the three-dimensional structure of the hemocyanin subunit II of limulus polyphemus at atomic resolution.
