Investigation of the association behaviors between biliverdin and bovine serum albumin by fluorescence spectroscopy.

TLDR
The synchronous fluorescence spectra show that the microenvironment of the tryptophan residues has not obvious changes, which obeys the phase distribution model and the thermodynamic data show that biliverdin molecules enter the hydrophobic cavity of BSA via hydrophilic interaction.

Spectroscopic studies on the interaction between silicotungstic acid and bovine serum albumin

TL;DR: The experimental results showed that the fluorescence quenching of BSA by silicotungstic acid is a result of the formation of SiW-BSA complex; staticQuenching and non-radiative energy transferring were confirmed to result in the fluorescent quenched.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic and molecular docking studies of binding interaction of gefitinib, lapatinib and sunitinib with bovine serum albumin (BSA).

TL;DR: The experimental results showed that the intrinsic fluorescence quenching of BSA induced by the three TKIs resulted from the formation of stable TKI-BSA complexes through the binding interaction of TK is with BSA.
Journal ArticleDOI

A fluorescence spectroscopic study of the interaction between epristeride and bovin serum albumine and its analytical application.

TL;DR: The quenching mechanism was investigated with theQuenching type, the association constants, the number of binding sites and basic thermodynamic parameters, and the obtained results were in good agreement with the results of official method-HPLC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Static and dynamic interaction of a naturally occurring photochromic molecule with bovine serum albumin studied by UV-visible absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy.

TL;DR: Semiempirical calculations of the lowest optically active electronic transitions of hypothetical FL photoproducts suggest the most likely structure for the photobhavior of FL is affected by the interplay with BSA but not with Trp.
Journal ArticleDOI

Binding of Sudan II and Sudan IV to bovine serum albumin: comparison studies.

TL;DR: Structural analysis showed that both Sudan II and Sudan IV interact mainly with BSA at the hydrophobic pocket and via Van der Waals forces, suggesting a partial protein unfolding.

Atomic structure and chemistry of human serum albumin.

TL;DR: The three-dimensional structure of human serum albumin has been determined crystallographically to a resolution of 2.8 Å and should provide insight into future pharmacokinetic and genetically engineered therapeutic applications of serumalbumin.

Structure of serum albumin.

TL;DR: This chapter provides an insight of the findings of past significant papers with the current knowledge of the recently determined high resolution X-ray structure of serum albumin and suggests that AFP may have a higher affinity for some unknown ligands important for fetal development.

Biochemistry of nitric oxide and its redox-activated forms

TL;DR: The integration of this chemistry with current perspectives of NO biology illuminates many aspects of NO biochemistry, including the enzymatic mechanism of synthesis, the mode of transport and targeting in biological systems, the means by which its toxicity is mitigated, and the function-regulating interaction with target proteins.

Fluorescence and the location of tryptophan residues in protein molecules

TL;DR: Fluorescence spectra of a number of native and denaturated proteins have been analysed, using spectral band width, spectral maximum position, fluorescence quenching by external ionic quenchers, lifetime, and quantum yield and its changes upon denaturation.
