Impact of surface heterogeneity on IR line profiles of adsorbed carbon monoxide on models of interstellar grain surfaces

TL;DR: In this article, the impact of surface heterogeneity of model amorphous silica films used as a model for interstellar grain surfaces is revealed through the application of the preexponential optimized inversion method to previously reported sub-monolayer thermal desorption studies of carbon monoxide (CO)-desorption.

Local Structure of Pd1 Single Sites on the Surface of PdIn Intermetallic Nanoparticles: A Combined DFT and CO-DRIFTS Study

TL;DR: In this paper, the local structure of Pd1 single sites on the surface of intermetallic nanoparticles supported on α-Al2O3 was investigated by the combination of CO-DRIFTS spectroscopy and DFT.

Application of Infrared Spectroscopy in Catalysis: Impacts on Catalysts’ Selectivity

TL;DR: In this paper, interesting examples related to industrial relevant processes, like Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, ethylene oligomerization, synthesis of aniline from nitrocompounds, and the dehydration of aldoximes to nitriles are discussed.

CO adsorption on N2-precovered NaY faujasite: a FTIR analysis of the resulting adsorbed species.

Olivier Cairon
- 26 Aug 2013 -
TL;DR: The statistical response of IR signatures as a helpful proposal for analyzing adsorbed species and their assignments is strengthened and the molecular understanding of gas-mixture adsorption that lacks experimental data to date is completed.

Characterization of composite phthalocyanine-fatty acid films from the air/water interface to solid supports.

TL;DR: A commercial vanadyl 2,9,16,23-tetraphenoxy-29H,31H-phthalocyanine (VOPc) was dissolved in chloroform and spread on ultrapure water subphase in a Langmuir trough and interface measurements and atomic force microscopy analysis suggested the formation of a uniform arachidic acid film and a superimposed VOPc placed in prone configuration.
