Mechanisms of contamination in Lesser Antilles island arc magmas from radiogenic and oxygen isotope relationships

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of varying magma chemistry on δ18O (through differentiation) by normalising to the chemical index of Garlick were investigated, and it was concluded that the range in Δ18O values measured cannot result from hydrothermal interaction or weathering alone, although limited alteration of a few samples may be responsible for some scatter in the oxygen isotope data.
