A review of the hydrate based gas separation (HBGS) process for carbon dioxide pre-combustion capture
TL;DR: In this paper, a systematic review of the literature work done so far on the use of hydrate crystallization as a basis to develop data for the hydrate based gas separation (HBGS) process for the capture of CO2 from fuel gas mixtures is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen storage in clathrate hydrates: Current state of the art and future directions
TL;DR: In this paper, a review comprehensively summarizes the state of the art experimental work conducted on the storage of hydrogen as hydrogen clathrates both at the molecular level and macroscopic level and identifies future directions and challenges for this exciting area of research.
Journal ArticleDOI
HBGS (hydrate based gas separation) process for carbon dioxide capture employing an unstirred reactor with cyclopentane
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of CP (cyclopentane) as a promoter/additive, in the HBGS (hydrate based gas separation) process for pre-combustion gas mixture was investigated by employing an unstirred reactor configuration.

Investigation on the roles of activated carbon particle sizes on methane hydrate formation and dissociation
Atsadawuth Siangsai,Pramoch Rangsunvigit,Boonyarach Kitiyanan,Santi Kulprathipanja,Praveen Linga +4 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the effects of porous media particle size on the formation and dissociation kinetics of methane hydrate in a quiescent fixed bed crystallizer and showed that the experiment conducted with the 841-1680 µ m activated carbon showed the highest average water conversion to hydrate, 96.5%, due to its large interstitial pore space between the activated carbon particles, which were observed by the two-step methane consumption.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphology of Carbon Dioxide−Hydrogen−Cyclopentane Hydrates with or without Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of cyclopentane (CP) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) on the hydrate formation morphology were investigated, which showed that the addition of SDS had led to a change in hydrate crystal morphology, forming fiber-like crystals from the hyrate layer.
