Magnetic Domains

TLDR
In this paper, a Nahm transform has been discovered for magnetic bags, which are conjectured to arise in the large n limit of magnetic monopoles with charge n, and they are interpreted using string theory and presented some partial proofs of this conjecture.
Abstract
Recently a Nahm transform has been discovered for magnetic bags, which are conjectured to arise in the large n limit of magnetic monopoles with charge n We interpret these ideas using string theory and present some partial proofs of this conjecture We then extend the notion of bags and their Nahm transform to higher gauge theories and arbitrary domains Bags in four dimensions conjecturally describe the large n limit of n self-dual strings We show that the corresponding Basu-Harvey equation is the large n limit of an equation describing n M2-branes, and that it has a natural interpretation in loop space We also formulate our Nahm equations using strong homotopy Lie algebras

Surface magnetic properties and domains observation in as-quenched and annealed FeNbB ribbons

TL;DR: In this paper, the longitudinal magneto-optical Kerr effect combined with the magnetooptical microscopy is used to investigate the surface magnetic anisotropy and the domain behavior in as-quenched (AQ) and strain-annealed (SA) FeNbB ribbons.

Inelastic Spin‐Wave Scattering by Bloch Domain Wall Flexure Oscillations

TL;DR: In this paper, the inelastic spin wave scattering by flexure vibrations of the Bloch domain wall (Winters magnons) in thin magnetic films is calculated based on the interaction of the propagating spin waves with the dynamical emergent electromagnetic field generated by the moving inhomogeneous magnetization texture (domain wall).

Study of pattern transition in nanopatterned Si(100) produced by impurity-assisted low-energy ion-beam erosion

TL;DR: In this article, the formation of self-organized Si nanostructures induced by pure Fe incorporation during normal incidence low-energy (1keV) ion bombardment is presented, where the orientation of the ripple wave vector of the patterns formed is found to be in a direction normal to the Fe flow.

A 0.5-T pure-in-plane-field magnetizing holder for in-situ Lorentz microscopy.

TL;DR: A side-entry specimen holder capable of applying a 0.5-tesla in-plane magnetic-induction field for in-situ transmission electron microscopy was developed and was shown to be useful for analysis of magnetization-reversal behaviors of hard magnetic materials.

3-D Branching of Magnetic Domains on Compressed Si-Fe Steel With Goss Texture

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of applied compressive stress on the hysteresis curve and domain structure in conventional (110) [001] Fe-3%Si steel cut parallel to the rolling direction was studied.

TL;DR: In this article, a supersymmetric field theory model for multiple M2-branes based on an algebra with a totally antisymmetric triple product is proposed. But the field is not dynamical.

Type iib superstrings, bps monopoles, and three-dimensional gauge dynamics

TL;DR: In this article, the Coulomb branch of certain three-dimensional supersymmetric gauge theories and the moduli spaces of magnetic monopoles are explained via string theory, and new phase transitions in three dimensions as well as new infrared fixed points and even new coupling constants are predicted from the string theory construction.
