Magnetic Domains

TLDR
In this paper, a Nahm transform has been discovered for magnetic bags, which are conjectured to arise in the large n limit of magnetic monopoles with charge n, and they are interpreted using string theory and presented some partial proofs of this conjecture.
Abstract
Recently a Nahm transform has been discovered for magnetic bags, which are conjectured to arise in the large n limit of magnetic monopoles with charge n We interpret these ideas using string theory and present some partial proofs of this conjecture We then extend the notion of bags and their Nahm transform to higher gauge theories and arbitrary domains Bags in four dimensions conjecturally describe the large n limit of n self-dual strings We show that the corresponding Basu-Harvey equation is the large n limit of an equation describing n M2-branes, and that it has a natural interpretation in loop space We also formulate our Nahm equations using strong homotopy Lie algebras

Use of Time-Dependent Multispectral Representation of Magnetic Barkhausen Noise Signals for the Needs of Non-Destructive Evaluation of Steel Materials

TL;DR: The wide analysis of BN TF representation was carried out and the Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) was used and a procedure for definition of the envelopes of the TF characteristic was proposed.

On the accuracy of FFT based magnetostatic field evaluation schemes in micromagnetic hysteresis modeling

TL;DR: In this paper, two FFT schemes are compared to evaluate the magnetostatic field directly starting from the magnetization and have a large accuracy, while in the second scheme the magnetic potential is derived from the scalar magnetic potential, resulting in a reduced accuracy but also in a CPU time reduction for a magnetic field evaluation to 65% and a reduction of memory requirements to 55%.

Antiphase boundaries, magnetic domains, and magnetic vortices in Ni-Mn-Ga single crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, the interplay between antiphase boundaries, magnetic domain structure and functional properties was investigated in the martensitic state of Ni-Mn-Ga single crystals which showed magnetically induced martensite reorientation (MIR) with 6% strain.

Layered antiferromagnetic spin structures of expanded face-centered-tetragonal Mn(001) as an origin of exchange bias coupling to the magnetic Co layer

TL;DR: In this article, the spin structures of an exchange-coupled-bilayer system of expanded-face-centered-tetragonal (e-fct) Mn(001) ultrathin films grown on Co/Cu(001), were resolved by means of spin-polarized scanning-tunneling microscopy.

Identification of different processes in magnetization dynamics of API steels using magnetic Barkhausen noise

TL;DR: In this article, the angular dependence of the magnetic Barkhausen noise energy was used to identify three different processes in magnetization dynamics using angular dependence on the magneto-crystalline energy of the material.

Type iib superstrings, bps monopoles, and three-dimensional gauge dynamics

TL;DR: In this article, the Coulomb branch of certain three-dimensional supersymmetric gauge theories and the moduli spaces of magnetic monopoles are explained via string theory, and new phase transitions in three dimensions as well as new infrared fixed points and even new coupling constants are predicted from the string theory construction.
