TLDR
The melting curves of nine fluids which have been or could be used for pressure transmission have been measured to 10 000 bars as discussed by the authors, and the substances showing the lowest melting temperatures at 10, 000 bars are propane at −105° and propylene at −130.5°C.Abstract:
The melting curves of nine fluids which have been or could be used for pressure transmission have been measured to 10 000 bars. New forms are reported for isobutane and propylene. The substances showing the lowest melting temperatures at 10 000 bars are propane at —105° and propylene at —130.5°C. Most of the substances studied exhibit strong tendencies toward subcooling.read more

Hydrostatic limits in liquids and solids to 100 kbar
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used line-broadening and line-shift measurements of the sharp R1 ruby fluorescence line to determine the hydrostatic properties of the materials methanol, isopropyl alcohol, water, sodium chloride, silver chloride, and the binary mixtures pentane-isopentane and methanoline-ethanol.

Molecules under extreme conditions: Chemical reactions at high pressure
TL;DR: In this article, the basic features of diamond anvil cells and of the available techniques to study chemical reactions at ultrahigh pressures are reviewed, including reactions of simple molecular systems (like nitrogen, carbon dioxide and monoxide, nitrous oxide), of unsaturated compounds (like acetylene, butadiene, propylene, cyano derivatives) and of aromatics.

Viscosity Measurements on Liquids to Pressures of 60 kbar
J. Dean Barnett,Charles D. Bosco +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a capillary-type viscometer for measuring viscosities between 103 and 1010 poise at high pressures is described, where the authors show that the viscosity degrades exponentially with time even at the highest pressures and no effects of residual stress are observed.
