The results of the 3 studies provide preliminary support for the revised VMIQ-2 as a psychometrically valid questionnaire.
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to amend the Vividness of Movement Imagery Questionnaire (VMIQ; Isaac, Marks, & Russell, 1986) in line with contemporary imagery modality and perspective conceptualizations, and to test the validity of the amended questionnaire (i.e., the VMIQ-2). Study 1 had 351 athletes complete the 3-factor (internal visual imagery, external visual imagery, and kinesthetic imagery) 24-item VMIQ-2. Following single-factor confirmatory factor analyses and item deletion, a 12-item version was subject to correlated traits / correlated uniqueness (CTCU) analysis. An acceptable fit was revealed. Study 2 used a different sample of 355 athletes. The CTCU analysis confirmed the factorial validity of the 12-item VMIQ-2. In Study 3, the concurrent and construct validity of the VMIQ-2 was supported. Taken together, the results of the 3 studies provide preliminary support for the revised VMIQ-2 as a psychometrically valid questionnaire.

EEG and fMRI agree: Mental arithmetic is the easiest form of imagery to detect

TL;DR: Overall, EEG and fMRI agree regarding individual mental imagery performance, and level of activation could not be predicted from familiarity, with either modality.

Single-trial decoding of imagined grip force parameters involving the right or left hand based on movement-related cortical potentials

TL;DR: The study showed that MRCP may characterize the dynamic processing that takes place in the brain during the planning, execution, and precision of a given imagined grip force task and indicates that single-trial decoding of imagining grip force parameters based on MRCp may be feasible.

Dynamic Neuro-Cognitive Imagery (DNITM) Improves Developpé Performance, Kinematics, and Mental Imagery Ability in University-Level Dance Students.

TL;DR: Evidence for the motor and non-motor benefits of DNITM training in university-level dance students is provided and significant increases were detected in gesturing ankle height and self-reported observations, as well as in hip flexion and abduction range-of-motion.

Inter-individual neural differences in movement imagery abilities

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared brain activity through functional magnetic resonance imaging elicited by movement imagery in participants self-reporting good and poor imagery abilities with the Movement Imagery Questionnaire-3.

Team Action Imagery and Team Cognition: Imagery of Game Situations and Required Team Actions Promotes a Functional Structure in Players' Representations of Team-Level Tactics.

TL;DR: It is indicated that team action imagery training can have a significant impact on players' tactical skill representations and thus order formation in long-term memory.

Cutoff criteria for fit indexes in covariance structure analysis : Conventional criteria versus new alternatives

TL;DR: In this article, the adequacy of the conventional cutoff criteria and several new alternatives for various fit indexes used to evaluate model fit in practice were examined, and the results suggest that, for the ML method, a cutoff value close to.95 for TLI, BL89, CFI, RNI, and G...

Evaluating Goodness-of-Fit Indexes for Testing Measurement Invariance

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the change in the goodness-of-fit index (GFI) when cross-group constraints are imposed on a measurement model and found that the change was independent of both model complexity and sample size.

Construct validity in psychological tests.

TL;DR: The present interpretation of construct validity is not "official" and deals with some areas where the Committee would probably not be unanimous, but the present writers are solely responsible for this attempt to explain the concept and elaborate its implications.
