N=2 extremal black holes.

TLDR
It is shown that extremal magnetic black hole solutions of N=2 supergravity coupled to vector multiplets with a generic holomorphic prepotential F can be described as supersymmetric solitons which interpolate between maximally symmetric limiting solutions at spatial infinity and the horizon.
Abstract
It is shown that extremal magnetic black hole solutions of N=2 supergravity coupled to vector multiplets ${\mathit{X}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}$ with a generic holomorphic prepotential F(${\mathit{X}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}$) can be described as supersymmetric solitons which interpolate between maximally symmetric limiting solutions at spatial infinity and the horizon. A simple exact solution is found for the special case that the ratios of the ${\mathit{X}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}$ are real, and it is seen that the logarithm of the conformal factor of the spatial metric equals the K\"ahler potential on the vector multiplet moduli space. Several examples are discussed in detail.

The Large N limit of superconformal field theories and supergravity

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the large-N limits of certain conformal field theories in various dimensions include in their Hilbert space a sector describing supergravityon the product of anti-de Sitter spacetimes, spheres, and other compact manifolds.

Large N Field Theories, String Theory and Gravity

TL;DR: In this paper, the holographic correspondence between field theories and string/M theory is discussed, focusing on the relation between compactifications of string theory on anti-de Sitter spaces and conformal field theories.

Microscopic origin of the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy

TL;DR: The Bekenstein-Hawking area entropy relation S BH = A 4 was derived for a class of five-dimensional extremal black holes in string theory by counting the degeneracy of BPS solition bound states.

Renormalization group flows from holography supersymmetry and a c theorem

TL;DR: In this paper, a supersymmetric kink solution in fivedimensional N = 8 gauged supergravity was derived, where the kink interpolates between an exterior anti-de Sitter region with maximal supersymmetry and an interior anti-De Sitter regions with one quarter of the maximal supersymmetry.
