TLDR
The final results of the Milano electron anti-neutrino mass experiment with 10 AgReO 4 microcalorimeters were reported in this article, where the experimental set-up, the detector performance and the measuring conditions were described.Abstract:
In the Standard Model of electroweak interactions an important input parameter is still missing: the absolute value of the mass of one of the neutrinos. In this paper we report the final results of the Milano electron anti-neutrino mass experiment after having measured for about one year the beta spectrum of 187 Re with 10 AgReO 4 microcalorimeters. We describe the experimental set-up, the detector performance and the measuring conditions. We present the updated limit on the electron anti-neutrino mass which is the most stringent so far obtained with thermal detectors. We also give the most precise estimates for the 187 Re transition energy and lifetime.read more

TL;DR: HolMES as mentioned in this paper is a new experiment to directly measure the neutrino mass using a calorimetric approach as an alternative to spectrometers, which eliminates systematic uncertainties arising from the use of external beta sources.

TL;DR: HolMES as discussed by the authors is a new experiment to directly measure the neutrino mass using a calorimetric measurement of the energy released in the decay of 163Ho nuclei, which eliminates systematic uncertainties arising from the use of external beta sources.

Detection of environmental fine structure in the low-energy β-decay spectrum of 187Re
TL;DR: In this article, the detection of β environmental fine structure in the β-decay spectrum of 187Re, using a cryogenic microcalorimeter, was reported. But the low energy resolution and high operating temperatures of traditional radiation detectors have precluded observation of β Environmental fine structure.
