Abstract
We proposed a novel architecture for optical image encryption based on interference. The encryption algorithm for this new method is quite simple and does not need iterative encoding. The parameters of the configuration can also serve as additional keys for encryption. Numerical simulation results demonstrate the flexibility of this new proposed method.

Color image encryption by using Arnold transform and color-blend operation in discrete cosine transform domains

TL;DR: In this encryption scheme the operations mentioned above are performed twice continuously, so the parameters of Arnold transform and the random angle serve as the key of the color image encryption method.

Image encryption algorithm by using fractional Fourier transform and pixel scrambling operation based on double random phase encoding

TL;DR: A kind of amplitude scrambling operation is designed and introduced into an image encryption process for scrambling amplitude distribution in order to save the space of storage and transmission of the key information.

Optical image encryption using a jigsaw transform for silhouette removal in interference-based methods and decryption with a single spatial light modulator

TL;DR: This work proposes a noniterative method using the jigsaw transformation (JT) in a single step, with improved security because the inverse JT of these masks, along with correct permutation keys that are necessary to decrypt the original image are provided.

Optical key bit stream generator

TL;DR: A new optical stream cipher system based on a threshold generator used as a random key bit stream generator is presented and one of the major advantages of the proposed system is that the programmable tapping points can be realized easily by updating the pixel value represented on LCD.
