Parton distributions for the LHC

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented an updated leading-order, next-to-leading order and next-next-ordering order parton distribution function (MSTW 2008) determined from global analysis of hard-scattering data within the standard framework of leading-twist fixed-order collinear factorisation in the $\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$¯¯$¯¯¯¯¯

Dynamical parton distributions of the proton and small x physics

TL;DR: In this article, the perturbative properties of parton distributions generated radiatively from a valence-like input at some low resolution scale are discussed with the aim of explaining the physical aspects underlying the reliability of the predicted distributions in the small-x region.

Ultrahigh-Energy Neutrino Interactions

TL;DR: In this article, cross sections for the interactions of ultra-high-energy neutrinos with nucleons are evaluated in the light of new information about nucleon structure functions, and some consequences for interaction rates in the Earth and for event rates from generic astrophysical sources in large scale detectors are noted.

Progress in one-loop qcd computations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors review progress in calculating the one-loop scattering amplitudes required for next-to-leading-order corrections to QCD processes and provide explicit examples that illustrate these techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoproduction within the two-component Dual Parton Model: amplitudes and cross sections

TL;DR: In this article, an approximation scheme to describe high energy photoproduction processes is presented based on the distinction between direct, resolved soft, and resolved hard interaction processes, which can be used to construct effective impact parameter amplitudes.

Proton and deuteron f2 structure functions in deep inelastic muon scattering

TL;DR: In this article, the structure functions F2p and F2d measured by deep inelastic muon scattering at incident energies of 90 and 280 GeV were presented, covering a large kinematic range, 0.006 less-tha...

New information on parton distributions.

TL;DR: It is shown that although good fits can be obtained with or without this symmetry breaking, more physically reasonable parton distributions are obtained if the authors allow [ital] [bar d]][gt][ital [bar u] at small [ital x], and with the inclusion of the latest deep-inelastic data.
