Multitask Spectral Clustering by Exploring Intertask Correlation

TL;DR: A novel clustering model, namely multitask spectral clustering (MTSC), is proposed to cope with the above challenges and it is shown that the learning process can naturally incorporate discriminative information to further improve clustering performance.

An Integrated Neural Fuzzy Approach for Fault Diagnosis of Transformers

TL;DR: The proposed method has been shown to possess superior performance in identifying the transformer fault type and is designed by applying the subtractive clustering method which is very good at handling the noisy input data.

Terrestrial laser scanning intensity data applied to damage detection for historical buildings

TL;DR: A methodology to combine the technology of the terrestrial laser scanner with the techniques of digital image processing in order to study damages on stony materials that constitute historical buildings shows the potential of the use of intensity data from terrestrial scanner for the recognition and characterization of certain pathologies in building materials that constitutes historical buildings.

Evaluating suppliers to include green supplier development programs via fuzzy c-means and VIKOR methods

TL;DR: This paper aims to determine green/environmental performance of supplier, and define which suppliers need to improve their conditions about environmental issues, and identify which suppliers should be included to green supplier development programs to enhance their environmental performance.

Nearest neighbor pattern classification

TL;DR: The nearest neighbor decision rule assigns to an unclassified sample point the classification of the nearest of a set of previously classified points, so it may be said that half the classification information in an infinite sample set is contained in the nearest neighbor.

Introduction to Statistical Pattern Recognition

TL;DR: This completely revised second edition presents an introduction to statistical pattern recognition, which is appropriate as a text for introductory courses in pattern recognition and as a reference book for workers in the field.

A fuzzy relative of the isodata process and its use in detecting compact well-separated clusters

J. C. Dunn
TL;DR: In this paper, two fuzzy versions of the k-means optimal, least squared error partitioning problem are formulated for finite subsets X of a general inner product space, and the extremizing solutions are shown to be fixed points of a certain operator T on the class of fuzzy, k-partitions of X, and simple iteration of T provides an algorithm which has the descent property relative to the LSE criterion function.
