Photorefractive Polymers for Digital Holographic Optical Storage
Donald M. Burland,Ralph G. Devoe,C. Geletneky,Y. Jia,V.Y. Lee,P. M. Lundquist,Christopher R. Moylan,C. Poga,Robert J. Twieg,Rüdiger Wortmann +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the development of a new class of highly efficient photorefractive materials based on organic glasses and the testing of these materials using a sophisticated holographic data storage test stand built specifically for this purpose.
Journal ArticleDOI
Photorefractivity in poly( N-vinylcarbazole)-based polymer composites
TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanism of photorefractivity in a family of model composites based on PVK is discussed and the effect of plasticization on their photore-fractive performance is investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Charge transfer interactions in polyesters with a donor-(σ-bridge)-acceptor moiety in the repeating unit
Wibren D. Oosterbaan,Veronica E.M. Kaats-Richters,Leonardus W. Jenneskens,Cornelis A. van Walree +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the photophysics of electron donor-spacer-electron acceptor (DσA) compounds are investigated in high molecular weight linear polyesters to gain insight in how the photrophysics of DσA compounds are affected by incorporation into a polymer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental observation of subluminal and superluminal light propagation in rhodamine 6G-doped polymethyl methacrylate
TL;DR: In this article, the group velocity change in the paraxial part of an intensity-modulated and focused transverse electromagnetic beam (TEM00 beam) was observed in the rhodamine 6G(R6G)-doped polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) but not in the pure PMMA.
