Powder flowability and density ratios: the impact of granules packing
TLDR
In this paper, a new flowability criterion based on a novel technique to determine a high packing density was proposed, which is more sensitive to differences in flowability, as quantified by the repose angle.About:

The relationship between attractive interparticle forces and bulk behaviour in dry and uncharged fine powders
TL;DR: The physics of granular materials in ambient gases is governed by interparticle forces, gas-particle interaction, geometry of particle positions and geometry of particles contacts as mentioned in this paper, which are strongly dependent on the external forces, boundary conditions and on the assembling procedure.

Dry particle coating for improving the flowability of cohesive powders
TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic assisted impaction coater (MAIC) and the hybridizer (HB) were used to coat cornstarch powder with different size silica particles and the improvement in flowability was determined from angle of repose measurements using a Hosokawa powder tester.

Hisao Hayakawa,Daniel C. Hong +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a thermodynamic theory of weakly excited two-dimensional granular systems from the viewpoint of elementary excitations of spinless Fermions is presented, and a global temperature is associated with the acceleration amplitude in a vibrating bed.

Transition to movement in granular chute flows
Andrea C. Santomaso,Paolo Canu +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental investigation deals with the observation of the behavior that dense granular materials present when they flow in steady regime on a rough chute, focusing the attention on the transition to movement of the bed and on quantities involved as the internal friction angle.

Methods of granular and fragmented material packing density calculation
TL;DR: In this article, two new methods for the density calculation of unlimited volume granular materials are offered, one based on the empirical relation between density and the index (worked out by the author) of the uniform distribution of particles in individual fractions; the other method, a more precise one, allows for the consideration of fraction mixture quality.

Densification under vibration of a saturated granular packing
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that vertically vibrated granular packing can be densified, even when saturated by a Newtonian fluid which reduces the effective buoyancy, and the evolution of the packing density follows the global logarithmic time dependence observed with dry packings, but an additional density dependent parameter had to be introduced.
