Abstract

Device and method for detection and/or diagnosis of faults in a processes, equipment and sensors

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method for the detection and diagnosis of faults in a process, equipment and sensors used to measure and control variables of a process either for single faults or multiple faults, based on residual calculation between measured values and values calculated by a plurality of parallel linear models.

Artificial intelligence for process engineering — state of the art

TL;DR: The fundamental work which is necessary before transforming process engineer reasoning into a computer program is presented and the main application domains are presented.

Development of Systematic Framework for an Intelligent Decision Support System in Gas Transmission Network

TL;DR: The main objective of this paper is to develop a systematic framework for an online decision support system (DSS) in order to make the right decisions to get the GTN out of critical conditions (which cannot be handled by the plant controllers) smoothly.

Fault Detection Approach Based on Fuzzy Qualitative Reasoning Applied to the DAMADICS Benchmark Problem

TL;DR: A computer assisted fault detection methodology based on a fuzzy qualitative simulation algorithm is described, applied to a pneumatic servomotor actuated control valve that is the benchmark problem of the EC RTN DAMADICS.

Eliminating ambiguities in qualitative causal feedback

TL;DR: In this article, a new modular approach is presented which overcomes this type of problem, which is used to resolve ambiguities within qualitative modelling. But this approach is not suitable for the case of unit-based qualitative models.
