A ratiometric fluorescent probe for cysteine and homocysteine displaying a large emission shift.

TL;DR: 4-(1H-phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazol-2-yl)benzaldehyde 1 was rationally designed as a novel ratiometric fluorescent probe for cysteine and homocysteine, notably, the probe displayed a very large (125 nm) hypsochromic shift in emission due to switching off intramolecular charge transfer.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural variation from 1D to 3D: effects of ligands and solvents on the construction of lead(II)-organic coordination polymers.

TL;DR: The structural differences between 7 and 8 and between 9 and 10 indicate the importance of solvents for framework formation of the coordination polymers, and by varying the solvent the cis and trans conformations of H(2)chdc in 9 and10 were separated completely.
Journal ArticleDOI

L-Proline: an efficient catalyst for the one-pot synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted and 1,2,4,5-tetrasubstituted imidazoles

TL;DR: In this paper, a 3-component cyclocondensation of 1,2-dicarbonyl compound, aldehyde and ammonium acetate using l -proline as a catalyst in methanol at moderate temperature was achieved.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Ratiometric Fluorescent Probe for Hypochlorite Based on a Deoximation Reaction

TL;DR: The probe developed herein represents the first ratiometric fluorescent probe for hypochlorite, based on the deoximation reaction, which has not yet been used in the fluorescent hypoch chlorite probe design.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complexes as mitochondria-targeted two-photon photodynamic anticancer agents.

TL;DR: Four ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complexes (RuL1-RuL4) have been designed and developed to act as mitochondria-targeted two-photon photodynamic anticancer agents and generate sufficient singlet oxygen under one- and two- photon irradiation to trigger cell death.
