TLDR
In this article, the generalized Chaplygin gas (GCG) proposal for unification of dark energy and dark matter is considered and it admits an unique decomposition into dark energy components once phantomlike dark energy is excluded.
Abstract
We consider the generalized Chaplygin gas (GCG) proposal for unification of dark energy and dark matter and show that it admits an unique decomposition into dark energy and dark matter components once phantomlike dark energy is excluded. Within this framework, we study structure formation and show that difficulties associated to unphysical oscillations or blowup in the matter power spectrum can be circumvented. Furthermore, we show that the dominance of dark energy is related to the time when energy density fluctuations start deviating from the linear $\ensuremath{\delta}\ensuremath{\sim}a$ behavior.

Dark matter and dark energy interactions: theoretical challenges, cosmological implications and observational signatures

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors review the motivations underlying the need to introduce such interaction, its influence on the background dynamics and how it modifies the evolution of linear perturbations and test models using the most recent observational data and find that the interaction is compatible with the current astronomical and cosmological data.

Dark energy–dark matter interaction and putative violation of the equivalence principle from the Abell cluster A586

TL;DR: In this article, the equivalence principle is violated in the case of the Abell cluster A586, which exhibits evidence of the interaction between dark matter and dark energy and argues that this interaction implies a violation.

Cosmologies with energy exchange

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide a simple mathematical description of the exchange of energy between two fluids in an expanding Friedmann universe with zero spatial curvature and provide an analysis of all the possible evolutions.

TL;DR: In this article, a mathematical discussion on the basis of Huygens's principle shows that a change of size of the image will be introduced which compensates for the change of the rod.
