TL;DR: The results demonstrate that for a predominantly right-handed sample, the correlation between beta band oscillations and endogenous GABA concentrations is evident only in the left sensorimotor cortex, and supports previous results that demonstrated a connection between oscillatory beta activity and pharmacologically modulated GABA concentration in the sensorim motor cortex.

TL;DR: Graph theoretical approach to functional networks based on resting state EEGs from 13 PNES patients and 13 age- and gender-matched controls suggests that local connectivity could be a target for therapeutic interventions in PNES and suggests selective modulation of local connectivity might improve the skewed balance between local and global connectivity and so prevent PNES events.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that entropy at fine time scales–presumed to indicate fast dynamics–is highly sensitive to broadband spectral power, a measure dominated by low-frequency contributions, and recommended best practices that may better permit a valid estimation and interpretation of neural signal irregularity at time scales of interest.
