Role of laxative and antioxidant properties of Malva sylvestris leaves in constipation treatment

TLDR
It is suggested that MSAE had a potent effect against Loperamide- induced constipation through in part to an increase of gastrointestinal motility, astimulation of water intestinal secretion as well as its antioxidant properties.

Enteromorpha and polysaccharides from enteromorpha ameliorate loperamide-induced constipation in mice

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of EP and polysaccharides from Enteromorpha (PEP) on loperamide induced constipated mice model and illustrating mechanism of action were investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Probiotics decrease depressive behaviors induced by constipation via activating the AKT signaling pathway.

TL;DR: It is confirmed that probiotics can alleviate depression induced by constipation through protecting neuronal health via activation of the AKT signaling pathway.

Physicochemical properties and laxative effects of polysaccharides from Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge. in loperamide-induced rats.

TL;DR: The present findings suggested that AABP were the laxative active ingredients isolated from Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge.

The Role of Superoxide Anion in the Autoxidation of Epinephrine and a Simple Assay for Superoxide Dismutase

TL;DR: It is proposed that the autoxidation of epinephrine proceeds by at least two distinct pathways, only one of which is a free radical chain reaction involving O2- and hence inhibitable by superoxide dismutase.
