Axi-symmetric wave propagation in a cylinder coated with a piezoelectric layer
TL;DR: In this paper, the wave propagation in a cylinder coated with a thin piezoelectric layer is modeled in the mechanics model for this coupled cylindrical shell with bending resistance, and the decoupled torsional wave velocity and the dispersion curves for the two mode shell model are obtained theoretically.

Epitaxially grown GaN thin-film SAW filter with high velocity and low insertion loss
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed GaN thin film as a piezoelectric material for SAW (surface acoustic wave) filters, which exhibited a very high velocity of 5803 m/s and relatively low insertion loss of -7.7 dB, the attenuation of the center frequency was about 22 dB smaller than those at the first sidelobes.

Magnetization dynamics triggered by surface acoustic waves
TL;DR: In this paper, a surface acoustic wave propagates across an array of ferromagnetic elements, and the resultant strain switches the magnetization from the easy axis into the hard axis direction.
