A novel event-triggered control law is proposed which could greatly reduce the number of control updates for synchronization tasks of coupled switched neural networks involving embedded microprocessors with limited on-board resources.Abstract:
This paper addresses the issue of synchronization of switched delayed neural networks with communication delays via event-triggered control. For synchronizing coupled switched neural networks, we propose a novel event-triggered control law which could greatly reduce the number of control updates for synchronization tasks of coupled switched neural networks involving embedded microprocessors with limited on-board resources. The control signals are driven by properly defined events, which depend on the measurement errors and current-sampled states. By using a delay system method, a novel model of synchronization error system with delays is proposed with the communication delays and event-triggered control in the unified framework for coupled switched neural networks. The criteria are derived for the event-triggered synchronization analysis and control synthesis of switched neural networks via the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method and free weighting matrix approach. A numerical example is elaborated on to illustrate the effectiveness of the derived results.read more

Estimation of Domain of Attraction for Aperiodic Sampled-Data Switched Delayed Neural Networks Subject to Actuator Saturation
TL;DR: By describing the domain of attraction as a time-varying ellipsoid determined by the time-scheduled Lyapunov matrix, the proposed theoretical conditions are transformed into a linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based multi-objective optimization problem and the dynamic estimates of thedomain of attraction for ASDSDNNs are solved.

Event-Triggered Real-Time Scheduling of Stabilizing Control Tasks
TL;DR: This note investigates a simple event-triggered scheduler based on the paradigm that a real-time scheduler could be regarded as a feedback controller that decides which task is executed at any given instant and shows how it leads to guaranteed performance thus relaxing the more traditional periodic execution requirements.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that scale-independent hysteresis can produce switching that is slow-on-the-average and therefore the results mentioned above can be used to study the stability of adaptive control systems.
Stability of Switched Systems with Average Dwell-Time 1
P. Hespanha,A. Stephen Morse +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that switching among stable linear systems results in a stable system provided that switching is slow-on-the-average, i.e., the number of switches in any nite interval grows linearly with the length of the interval, and the growth rate is suciently small.

Distributed Event-Triggered Control for Multi-Agent Systems
TL;DR: The controller updates considered here are event-driven, depending on the ratio of a certain measurement error with respect to the norm of a function of the state, and are applied to a first order agreement problem.
