Journal ArticleDOI
Current progress on antioxidants incorporating the pyrazole core.
TL;DR: The aim is to look deeper into the structures already published in the literature containing the pyrazole core as the unique pharmacophore or combined with other pharmacophores and see the relationship between the presence of this five-membered nitrogen heterocycle and the behaviour of the compounds as potential antioxidant agents.
Journal ArticleDOI
One-Pot and Two-Pot Synthesis of Chalcone Based Mono and Bis-Pyrazolines
Saba Farooq,Zainab Ngaini +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of pyrazolines via one-pot and two-pot synthetic techniques is discussed, which is a unique method for direct reaction of α, β-unsaturated aldehydes and acetophenones with hydrazines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Substituent-Oriented Synthesis of Substituted Pyrazoles/Chromeno[3,2- c]pyrazoles via Sequential Reactions of Chromones/3-Chlorochromones and Tosylhydrazones.
TL;DR: A facile and efficient synthetic strategy for the chemoselective synthesis of monocyclic/tricyclic-fused pyrazoles was developed, and it was oriented by different 3-position substituents on the chromones.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pyrazoles as novel protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B) inhibitors: An in vitro and in silico study.
Sónia Rocha,Mariana Lucas,Vera L. M. Silva,Pedro M O Gomes,Artur M. S. Silva,Alberto N. Araújo,Natália Aniceto,Rita C. Guedes,M. Luísa Corvo,Eduarda Fernandes,Marisa Freitas +10 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the presence of additional benzene rings as functional groups in the pyrazole moiety increase the ability of pyrazoles to inhibit PTP1B, through noncompetitive inhibition mechanism.

Flavones: An important scaffold for medicinal chemistry
TL;DR: The present review gives detail about the structural requirement of flavone derivatives for various pharmacological activities and may provide an opportunity to scientists of medicinal chemistry discipline to design selective, optimize as well as poly-functional flavones derivatives for the treatment of multi-factorial diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chromones as a privileged scaffold in drug discovery: a review.
TL;DR: The present review focuses on the pharmacological profile of chromone derivatives in the current literature with an update of recent research findings on this nucleus and the perspectives that they hold for future research.

Synthesis and antifungal activity of some new 3-hydroxy-2-(1-phenyl-3-aryl-4-pyrazolyl) chromones
TL;DR: Seven new 3-hydroxy-2-(1-phenyl-3-aryl-4-pyrazolyl) chromones 4a-g have been synthesized by the oxidation of 2-Hydroxychalcone analogues of pyrazole 3a-G with hydrogen peroxide in KOH-MeOH by Algar Flynn Oymanda reaction.
