An overview of the strategy used to come up with the design of a new type of ligand that is appropriate for coordination to both the late metals and the early metals is given in this paper.Abstract:
An overview is given on the strategy used to come up with the design of a new type of ligand that is appropriate for coordination to both the late metals and the early metals. The coordination chem...read more

Pincer Complexes of Lithium, Sodium, Magnesium and Related Metals: A Discussion of Solution and Solid-State Aggregated Structure and Reactivity
TL;DR: An overview of the Li, Na, Mg and Cu complexes of the pincer ligands is presented in this article, where common techniques and advances in the synthesis of the title materials, their properties (notably in the solid state) and trends in their reactivity are discussed.

Palladium complexes of a new phosphine-amido-siloxide pincer ligand with variable degrees of protonation
TL;DR: In this article, a new PN(H)SiO (H) pincer-type ligand was proposed based on the diarylamine backbone and links together phosphine, amine, and silanol donor sites.

Pincer ligand complexes with unusual atoms and molecular backbones
TL;DR: Pincer carbene complexes are obtained if coordinatively unsaturated precursors of late transition metals are employed as discussed by the authors, which is not always consistent as shown by the metalation of a coordinated ligand after the treatment of hexaphenyl carbodiphosphorane with a corresponding iridium cation.
