The dynamic zone plate interferometer for measuring aspherical surfaces (II)

TLDR
In this paper, a dynamic zone-plate interferometer (DZPI) is proposed to measure both shapes and surface errors of aspherical mirrors or lenses by changing the wavelength of the illuminating light in fine steps, which gives a series of interferograms in which fringes are shifted almost continuously.

Digital wavefront measuring interferometer for testing optical surfaces and lenses

TL;DR: In this article, a self-scanned 1024 element photodiode array and a minicomputer are used to measure the phase (wavefront) in the interference pattern of an interferometer to lambda/100.

Computer generated holograms: an historical review

TL;DR: The methods and techniques of computer generated holograms are surveyed and the meanings of that term have grown with increased use of the invention.

Accuracy of phase determination with unequal reference phase shift

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the phase of a reference wave can be determined by using a Fourier analysis in a continuous space, and the accuracy of the phase determination was analyzed in case of additive noise.

First-order aberration of a double-focus lens made of a uniaxial crystal

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe an aberration of a double-focus lens made of a uniaxial crystal with the optic axis perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens, and the magnitude of the aberration depends on the lens thickness and the ratio of the principal refractive indices.

IV Aspheric Surfaces

Günter Schulz
- 01 Jan 1988 -
TL;DR: Aspheric surfaces as mentioned in this paper are optical surfaces that are neither spherical nor plane and are used in imaging and non-imaging systems, where the rotation of an axisymmetrical plane curve about its axis is a special case of aspherics and the rotating curve is a circular arc.

Digital Wavefront Measuring Interferometer for Testing Optical Surfaces and Lenses

TL;DR: The system has been designed to optimize the collection of data to give higher than usual accuracy in measuring the individual elements and final performance of assembled diffraction limited optical systems, and furthermore, the short loop time of a few minutes makes the system an attractive alternative to constraints imposed by test glasses in the optical shop.

Magnification and Third-Order Aberrations in Holography*

TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived formulas for angular, lateral, and longitudinal magnification in reconstructed images by holography (imaging by reconstructed wavefronts) and discussed conditions under which one or more of the aberration coefficients vanish, taking into account an off-axis angle of both reference and illuminating beam.

Zone plate interferometer.

TL;DR: A developed form of the Fresnel zone-plate interferometer is described, associated with the real and virtual first order foci of a zone plate, and its properties are discussed.
