Does "feeling down" mean seeing down? Depressive symptoms and vertical selective attention.
TL;DR: The authors found that negative affect in general, and depressive symptoms in particular, appear to bias selective attention in a direction that favors lower regions of physical space, and that negative words are evaluated faster if they are presented in a low versus high vertical position.
