TLDR
The safety inspectors carried out monitoring visits to 305 building construction sites, and the results were compared with the accident figures of the same sites, where there was a significant correlation between the observed safety index and the accident rate of the site groups.

Safety climate in construction site environments

TL;DR: In this paper, an empirical research aimed at examining the relationship between the safety climate and safe work behavior in construction site environments has been conducted and the results corroborate the importance of the role of management commitment, communication, workers involvement, attitudes, competence, as well as supportive and supervisory environments, in achieving a positive safety climate.

Occupational risk assessment in construction industry – Overview and reflection

TL;DR: This paper presents a state-of-the-art on ORA traditional methods, for the construction industry, discussing their limitations and pointing advantages of using fuzzy sets approaches to deal with ill-defined situations.

Computer vision techniques for construction safety and health monitoring

TL;DR: This paper categorizes previous studies into three groups-object detection, object tracking, and action recognition-based on types of information required to evaluate unsafe conditions and acts, and provides researchers insights into advancing knowledge and techniques for computer vision-based safety and health monitoring.

Improving construction site safety through leader-based verbal safety communication

TL;DR: Coaching construction site foremen to include safety in their daily verbal exchanges with workers has a significantly positive and lasting effect on the level of safety, which is a proximal estimate for work-related accidents.

A vision-based motion capture and recognition framework for behavior-based safety management

TL;DR: A framework of vision-based unsafe action detection for behavior monitoring to provide a robust and automated means for worker observation and indicates that the proposed framework can potentially perform well at detecting predefined unsafe actions in videos.

Characteristics of successful safety programs

TL;DR: Smith and Colin this article conducted a companion study to an earlier questionnaire study by calling, Smith, and Colin (1975) in which safety program practices of matched pairs of low and high accident rate plants were compared to determine factors that might account for the difference in safety performance.

The effects of feedback and goal setting on safety performance at two construction sites

TL;DR: In this paper, a new method for weekly inspections, based on participation and the principles of performance management, was tested at two construction sites in Finland, and the safety index rose from the baseline of 60% to 89% during the feedback at Site 1.

Q1. What contributions have the authors mentioned in the paper "Study and analysis of the obligations and responsibilities of the promoter figure in the construction sector in 22 countries" ?

This study is the first systematic analysis of the work carried out by the promoters in the building sector at international level and its relationship with prevention. To this end, it has aimed to know the problems in the integration of prevention by promoters as a key element in preventive integration, performing two analyzes: one qualitative, where it has aimed to know the status on the figure of the promoter on preventive ( centered this article in the UK ) and a second quantitative analysis which analyzed the results of the implementation of a management methodology by the developer as an integrating figure prevention throughout the various phases of the construction process, especially in the implementation phase.
